Partners

  • UW/A is proud to partner with CIYOTA in providing opportunities for Congolese youth.

Our journey with CIYOTA began in the Spring of 2019 where we were introduced through mutual acquaintances. We learned of CIYOTA’s mission to train one million youth in entrepreneurship and peacekeeping in DR Congo. Their mission is hefty, but they inspire us to constantly strive to do more.

  • UW/A is proud to partner with MCDO to support community based initiatives in Kisoro District, Uganda.

The UW/A team became acquainted with MCDO in the summer of 2019 during a visit to the southwest region of Uganda. As a local community-based organization, MCDO has implemented multiple projects in support of families living near Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

  • UW/A is proud to partner with Cinelab Akademie to support filmmaking as a career pathway for youth.

The CineLab Akademie team is one of the most gracious and welcoming organizations we’ve had the opportunity to work with. They possess true passion for teaching youth in Uganda marketable skills in filmmaking and photography as well as helping them find their confidence in their craft.

  • UW/A is proud to partner with AVSI to explore a peer-centered alternative to traditional programming.

We partnered with AVSI in the Spring of 2021 to host a Peer-Driven Change Initiative in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement. They have paved the way for our project to be a success, leading implementation on ground.

  • UW/A is proud to partner with Youth Arise Network (YAN) to learn more about youth in a refugee settlement.

UW/A learned of Youth Arise Network (YAN) through a contact at the UNHCR in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement. They have helped launch our first youth focused initiative for Peer-Driven Change in Uganda

  • UW/A is proud to partner with the CII to redefine how we engage and support communities.

We’ve learned a great deal from CII and the Peer-Driven Change approach, having launched three initiatives with them in Uganda in 2021. Now in 2022, we look forward to adding a fourth in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
